Dahlgren Forum Series Launches Jan. 10 with Former Commanders of NSWC

Join us Wednesday, January 10, at 5 p.m., at the University of Mary Washington, Dahlgren Campus, when four former Commanders of NSWC Dahlgren Division talk about the challenges they faced in leading Dahlgren’s largest and oldest command.

With their leadership tenures stretching back over a quarter-century, Bob Fuscaldo, Vaughn Mahaffey, Joseph McGettigan and Sheila Patterson will talk about the past and future of Dahlgren. From waves of proposed base closings to challenges to the “Dahlgren way” of doing things, the one-hour conversation will be wide-ranging and will include a Q&A session with the audience.

The forum is free and open to the public, and will be preceded by a 4:30 p.m. reception. For more information, contact Rob Gates (robgates@va.metrocast.net) or Jeron Hayes (jeron.hayes@navy.mil).

The forums are organized by the Dahlgren Heritage Foundation, which operates the Dahlgren Heritage Museum & Visitor Center at the foot of the Nice Bridge. For information on future forums, go to DahlgrenMuseum.org.
